Slackware

The Slackware Philosophy

Since its first release in April of 1993, the Slackware Linux Project has aimed at producing the most "UNIX-like" Linux distribution out there. Slackware complies with the published Linux standards, such as the Linux File System Standard. We have always considered simplicity and stability paramount, and as a result Slackware has become one of the most popular, stable, and friendly distributions available.

From our point of view, Slackware provides very basic distro. By default, there is no fully fledged package management system like other distribtions have. We can only offer very limited support for Slackware. It is not recomended for novice users. Only use this distro if you are a guru and know your way around Linux. If you do, Slackware may still be something for you.

Personally we never use Slackware, so support from us is very limited, however if you choose Slackware you probably do not need us.
