OpenSuse is a highly professional distribution can be very powerful, but it requires quite some power too. Don't try to run OpenSuse on any less than 256MB of RAM. YaST, the package and system manager is very powerful, but also needs a lot of memory to work well.
The ease of configuration of Suse is high, however it does not leave you with a lot of freedom. The system does resemble RedHat somewhat, however YaST is, well, just a bit more...
We recommend Suse for people that are already familiar with it, if you still need to learn a lot about Linux or if you are looking for a quick start on our platform choose some other distro like a Debian or Ubuntu system.
While we only offer limited support on Suse, you can find excellent help in the Suse IRC channels and website.
